Solbos Ventures is a Brussels based, internationally operating, private holding company committed to contributing to a more authentic, beautiful, harmonious, meaningful and sustainable world.

The roots of the company go back to the summer of 1973. At that time IMD, as the company was called, became the Belgian branch of a British group, specializing in market(ing) research. In the eighties, when the Belgian branch became autonomous, its main activities became training and management development. IMD became a leading consultancy on the Benelux and French markets. It was not until the summer of 2005, when Olivier Onghena-'t Hooft acquired the company, that he started transforming it into a private equity and venture capital 'enterprise-with-a-heart'.
